Children of Men

By far one of the best movies of the year if not for longer.Filmed and directed in manner that holds your attention for full 109 min.Alfonso Cuaron is a director to watch out for.
In 2027, in a chaotic world in which humans can no longer procreate, a former activist agrees to help transport a miraculously pregnant woman to a sanctuary at sea, where her child's birth may help scientists save the future of humankind.
Thats the basic storyline.Wont give more away.Go out and watch it asap.Clive Owen is brillaint as the reluctant hero. While Claire-Hope Ashitey's portrayl of the miracle mother Kee is heart warming while oddly funny.
Theodore Faron: Who's the father?
Kee: There's no father. I'm a virgin. Nah! Be great, though, wouldn't it?
On a more serious note, the thought of a world with out the laughter and light of children is indeed scary. We gain our decency and humanity from children. When we lose our children we lose our souls and much like the chaos that exists with out adults in Lord of the Flies so to do adults land up in the same mess with out children.
